HARD DRIVE SHREDDING

We have a hard drive shredding facility in Capitol Heights, Maryland where we operate a 6,600 pound, 4-shaft shredder which can shred approximately 1000 lbs. of metal per hour.  We can rapidly and securely destroy any quantity of hard drives for our nationwide customers.

Our hard drive shredder has three screen sizes (10 mm, 20 mm and 40 mm) to control the particle output size. The hard drive shredding process not only cuts and shreds the metal but by forcing it through the cutters and screens, it also compresses and compacts the hard drive rendering it completely unrecoverable. Our hard drive shredding process has been certified by an independent third party using classified recovery methods.  No data was recoverable from hard drives shredded with our 20 mm screen.  A full copy of that report is available upon request. All residual particles are recycled in full compliance with all local, state and federal regulations and in accordance with our no landfill policy.

Access to our hard drive shredding facility is controlled and monitored including the use of CCTV and alarms. Our facility complies with most SCIF regulations. Premises can be completely locked down depending on our client’s requirements. Hard drive shredding can be overseen by our customers, recorded to DVD, monitored remotely via dedicated IP address or overseen and verified by personnel with a secret-level security clearance.   We also offer on-site hard drive destruction and destruction of classified hard drives.

All of our employees undergo a background check, sign a confidentiality agreement and are thoroughly trained in security procedures.  We are a GSA contract holder – contracts  # GS-25F0019T and GS10F0134V.  We are active members of NAID and have numerous references from a variety of companies and agencies. We are certified by the Defense Logistics Information Service to store and transport military critical technical data - #0051382.

Our nationally recognized Certificates of Destruction will suffice for all compliance purposes.
