Data Killers offers quick, secure and complete erasure of any quantity of hard drives as part of our on-site data destruction service. Data Killers employees are experts in the hard drive erasure process. Hard drive erase can be performed right at our customer’s location or off-site at our highly secure facility. Unlike degaussing, hard drive erasure leaves a hard drive reusable and completely cleared of data.
Our highly trained technicians can perform a Secure data deletion function on all ATA and SCSI drives (including IDE, EIDE, PATA, SATA, and laptop drives) through an interface cable with our hardware. The hard drive wipe process is performed in conjunction with the internal Secure Erase command, as mandated by the ATA specification developed by the T-13 technical committee.
Data Killers completely purges all data from hard drives. Once the wipe is completed, we will issue a Certificate of Purging which has the serial number of the hard drive, the date it was wiped and certification that it was wiped in accordance with the NIST 800-88 standards and DoD wipe standards.
Our hard drive erasure process is in full compliance with all physical destruction criteria as set forth by various laws and regulations. Our nationally recognized Certificate of Purging will suffice for all compliance purposes and the clean hard drive can be re-deployed.
