Data Killers offers nationwide off-site and on-site classified hard drive destruction service which satisfies NSA hard drive destruction regulations. We can destroy both magnetic hard drives and solid state drives according to NSA standards.
Our NSA-approved degaussers are annually re-certified by an outside third party. Our two-step process of magnetic disk degaussing then shredding satisfies all DoD regulations and guidelines for classified hard drive destruction, ensuring complete obliteration of all data. We own all the equipment for disintegration of solid state drives to 2 mm as that is the NSA requirement for that media type.
With advanced forensics and recovery techniques, shredding size is critically important. Our classified hard drive destruction service includes hard drive shredding process with our proprietary four shaft technology allows us to shred any type of material down to 10 mm on your site. Disintegration to 2 mm is also available. This is ideal for circuit board shredding and other computer shredding requirements.
With trucks nationwide, our people and equipment can be on your site at any time. Our on-site hard drive degaussing and shredding service eliminates all chain of custody issues. Data Killers is the trusted name for classified hard drive destruction service. We also specialize in classified media destruction and classified tape destruction.
For DC area customers who wish to bring their equipment to us, our facility complies with most SCIF regulations and our CAGE code is available upon request. The premises can be completely locked down depending on our client’s requirements. All of our employees undergo a background check, sign a confidentiality agreement, and are thoroughly trained in security procedures.
In March 2012, the GSA announced that only certified e-waste recyclers (R2 and eStewards) may handle end-of-life electronics from federal agencies including electronics which were bought with federal funds by government contractors. This means that computer shredding and hard drive shredding needs to be done by a certified recycler to be in compliance with the GSA, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Federal Management Regulation and Executive Order 13514. Hard drives have circuit boards which are a designated “focus material” which is the main reason for these new restrictions.
We are certified by the Defense Logistics Information Service to store and transport military critical technical information. Our NSA confirmed processes and equipment will suffice for all compliance purposes, as will our Certificate of Destruction.
